Executive Director

We are looking for a leader who is able to lead a team of committted people  to help the poor in developing countries. Because we operate the overseas projects ourselves, a very hands-on management style rather than just a big picture approach is needed. We require a leader who is able to micro manage and solve problems and at the same time able to see the bigger strategic picture. He will have to multitask a range of different functions from fund raising, PR, liason with foreign Governments, handle large infrastructure projects, work on orphanages, shelters, training and income generating centres.  A strong leader who is able to make changes, innovate when necessary and ensure funds are properly used. The Executive Director's primary responsibility is to ensure that donations are well used on meaningful, sustainable and well conceived projects.

Applicant should have exposure at a senior management level as experience in managing is a key requisite. It would be an additional advantage if he holds bottom line responsibilities as well.

Finance and Admin Manager

Job Description:

Applicant must have experience in approving expenses, analysing and preparing financial reports, check bank statements, prepare for annual audits , IR8 statements, process salaries on-line, look after inventories ,maintain donors records, apply fund raising permits etc. He must be prepared to travel monthly overseas as our operations are in countries like Cambodia and Nepal . He will be responsible for the overseas accounts as well as the accounts of the Singapore office. Our accounts are outsourced so there is no requirement for book keeping activities. The volume of accounting entries is low and applicant is expected to multitask and handle a variety of tasks. A key component of the job is to perform regular financial audits and approve monthly expenses of our overseas operations

Applicant will handle the HR and administration of the Singapore office which has less than ten staff. he must have at least five years of working experience in the commercial sector. He should be good at using Excel and have a good knowledge of computers. There is opportunity for advancement if applicant proves that he has leadership qualities and is able to make good decisions.

This is a job which requires a matured adult who is not afraid to ask hard questions but at the same time has a heart to help the poor in less developed countries.

Pre-requisites:

• Min. Education Level : Diploma
• Field of Study : Accountancy & Business / Business Administration / Management
• Year of Exp Required : 5
• Skills : Auditing / Cash management / Database management
• Language : English / Chinese (Mandarin)

Applicant will be required to assist in starting new overseas operations as well as support existing operations. The scope of work is wide and training will be provided. Applicant must have good communication skills, able to understand technical matters and be hands-on in supervising the project. For current projects, applicant will have to provide technical and management support to solve problems , improve operations or launch new programs. Travel at least once a month is required to Cambodia, Nepal and Thailand . Depending on the projects , each trip may last one month or more especially during the start up phase.

This is an exciting opportunity for those who has a passion to help the poor in developing countries. Applicant will have to multitask and work on a variety of tasks ranging from engineering, project management to HR. Some of the work we are involved with are as follows:

1. Construction and renovation of buildings and infrastructure involving sewerage to water treatment.

2. Running Computer , English and Attitude courses for poor rural adults (three months residential course)

3. Starting livelihood projects such as bakery, soap making and polymer clay jewelry

4. Running computer,English and other enrichment programs in our orphanages.

5. Liaison with local Government officials on NGO registration and reports.

6. Checking expenses to prevent and detect fraud and corruption.

7. Assist local supervisors to resolve problems and improve operations.

Applicant should have experience in a project related work  as he will be expected to work independently and must be a Singapore citizen

Church Coordinator

Applicant will be required to generate awareness among churches about Operation Hope Foundation (OHF) to invite them to send mission teams to our overseas projects, work jointly on projects overseas and provide financial support. She should have an outgoing personality with confidence to do presentations to church leaders and committee members. She will liaise with church teams to organise and plan trips and accompany them overseas . 

Applicant should have experience in a sales related work  as he/she will be expected to work independently and must be a Singapore citizen. Those without experience in hospitality, event management, PR  need NOT apply as relevant experience is crucial .  They are expected to work on Sundays to give talks and man booths at churches.

COMMUNICATION EXECUTIVE

Job Description:

The Job
1. Update web site which is based on a Content Management System called Drupal.
2. Send out the monthly email newsletter which uses the Email Marketing Director software
3. Create and print flyers, posters and other communications materials
4. Create videos and powerpoint presentations. Able to do video editing, addiing titles, subtitles, voice and
music
5. Visit our overseas projects to take photos and videos of our projects
6. Prepare and send child sponsorship reports every six months
7. Liaise with overseas staff to collect articles for publications
8. Write articles/papers for fund raising , corporate sponsorship and others
9. Handle queries from public, donors and sponsors
10. Give presentations to schools, churches and companies

Requirements
1. Familiar with use of software such as Drupal and Email Marketing Director
2. Familiar with photo and video editing software
3. Familiar with desktop publishing software
4. Reasonable good photographer and video cameraman
5.Good communications and written skills especially in Engish
6. Prepared to travel to developing countries
