Mind Use Program
LIVELIHOOD FOR THE POOR
Jobs provide not only money to buy food, clothing and other necessities of life but also dignity and joy. To the unemployed, to those who have not been able to work on a daily basis, the ability to work every day is a joyful experience. OHF Mind Use Program provides jobs through starting OHF-owned businesses, provide technical skills and capital to start businesses where OHF acts as a micro-venture capitalist and provide training that prepares the unemployed either to find work or start their own micro-enterprises.

Hope Training Centre in Cambodia is a Livelihood & Training Centre. It will house 12 income-generating and training units that will provide jobs for rural villagers. It is a new centre that is currently under the last phase of construction and needed to be furnished and fitted. Not all the income-generating and training units have been started. We welcome ideas and suggestions from volunteers especially those who have the requisite skills and experience. |

Polymer Clay necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry items are made in Hope Training Centre. We need your help to market these livelihood products. More details of these beads of hope can be found on the web site www.mliss.org. Besides polymer clay jewelry, we are also manufacturing moisturising soap and are looking into making shampoo and detergent, starting a bakery, guesthouse etc. |

CONCEPT Our concept is straightforward. All potential projects will be tightly scrutinised for feasibility and sustainability. There must be a viable business plan covering all aspects of the business from marketing to design to cash flow projections. The primary objective is to provide long term employment for the poor especially those with little skill and education.
