Donate A Well

Cost: S$1200

Almost two million children die from lack of clean drinking water a year. Villagers are unable to afford the high costs of construction a well. Your donation of a well will help support a cluster of families with water for cleaning and washing, drinking and irrigation for their crops to help provide an income. Families who do not have wells must travel on foot to obtain their daily requirements.

OHF has its own well-drilling rigs, generator, vehicles and a team to identify poor families who need the wells. We are experienced in carrying out this project and have done it since 2004. Donors will receive a report with photographs on the families with the new well. You can also have your name and message inscribed on the concrete pad as a memorial of blessing to the villagers.

"Over 1 billion people have no access to clean drinking water, and more than 2.9 billion have no access to sanitation services. The reality is that a child dies every eight seconds from drinking contaminated water, and the sanitation trend is getting sharply worse, mostly because of the worldwide drift of the rural peasantry to urban slums." - Marq de Villiers
