Past Projects

At Operation Hope Foundation, we believe in taking action to address the most pressing issues facing underprivileged communities, whether it be access to education, healthcare, or basic necessities like food and shelter. Our past projects have ranged from building schools and healthcare facilities to providing emergency relief aid in times of crisis.
Partner us for meaningful, impactful and safe overseas projects.
As we watch Covid-19 cases in Nepal skyrocketing at an alarming rate, we launched our “A Breath of Hope” campaign in May to help their crippling healthcare system. Fighting against time, even though we have not raised enough donations, we decide to use all the generous donations received so far and send the oxygen and food to Nepal as best we can…
Most families in Nepal are actually small-scale farmers still using traditional, and sometimes inefficient, methods of farming. Their fields may not provide enough crops to feed their families for the whole year or they may be landless with no fields at all. Their income of many families falls below the minimum for proper nutrition, health and education of their children.
Raise the Roof is a safe housing project which began in June 2015, two months after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake which destroyed 90 percent of homes in the rural villages near the epicentre of the earthquake. According to Channel NewsAsia, half a million homes were destroyed, leaving millions of people living in the open and in need of assistance and protection. (Channel NewsAsia, 2017)

In 2012 we noticed that many rural youths had difficulty finding a job after completing Grade 12. In order to help them narrow this gap, we started a 3-months training programme that would teach these rural youths necessary skills that would aid them in getting a white collar job with stable income. We called this the Training for Job Skills in the Service Sector programme (TJSSS) .
At OHF, our mission is to not only provide a safe and loving home for the children under our care, but also to empower them to achieve their dreams. We believe that every child deserves the chance to pursue their passions and reach their full potential. That’s why we encourage our kids to explore their interests and talents, and provide them with the necessary resources and support to do so.
